I agree with you. It happens to me the same thing.
Use waterproof mascara on top because the primer is enriched with oils and that might make your regular mascara leave you with panda eyes
Super good base, my favourite, just bought second one. After using every time my lashes got much thicker and longer👍🏻

When it’s applied you can instantly see the difference in volume. But to overcoat with regular mascara is pretty difficult, the white is shining through or it comes somehow off and you end up with pretty messy lashes. But that is only mine experience and opinion.
