Benzyl benzoate is an odorous molecule which is one of the 24 allergens regulated by Europe. It is found in its natural state in Peruvian balsam and Tolu balsam, but also in the essential oils of Jasmine and Ylang-ylang. Note that Benzyl Benzoate is part of the reference treatment in France to treat scabies (an infectious skin disease).
