Namely Geraniol, also called rhodinol, is a monoterpenic alcohol which is one of the 24 allergens regulated by Europe. It is found present in the essential oils of Geranium, lemongrass but also in rose oil and Palmarosa. It is used in perfumery for its rose smell.
Restriction in Europe: III/78
The presence of the substance shall be indicated in the list of ingredients referred to in Article 19 (1) (g) when its concentration is greater:
- to 0,001% in products without rinsing
- to 0,01% in the products to be rinsed
