Namely Lanolin, also called wool fat or wool wax, is obtained by purification and refining of the suint (fat part of the wool). Lanolin is used to moisturize skin, hair and nails. It acts as a lubricant of the skin, which gives it a soft and smooth appearance. It helps to form emulsions and blends well with almost any other substance used in cosmetics and personal care products. Lanolin also has adhesive characteristics.
