Namely Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate or SCI is a sulphate-free, mild anionic surfactant. Derived from the fatty acids of coconut oil and isethionic acid, it has a very good foaming power. It is found in natural products such as solid shampoos.
ICS is produced by ethoxylation, which makes it an environmentally unfriendly ingredient. It is prohibited in the COSMOS specifications.
