The Carnauba wax is obtained from the leaves of the Brazilian tropical palm called Copernicia Cerifera. This wax is one of the hardest of vegetable waxes, but it is also appreciated for its plasticity and flexibility. It is widely used in make-up products and in particular in mascaras (nearly 60% of mascaras contain them). It is also used to help structure and solidify stick products such as lipsticks or lip balms. It is allowed in organic.
