Namely Cinnamic alcohol is one of the 24 allergens regulated by Europe. It is a perfuming agent found naturally in Cinnamon. It is used in cosmetics for its scents of cinnamon, daffodil, hyacinth or even jasmine.

The presence of the substance shall be indicated in the list of ingredients referred to in Article 19 (1) (g) when its concentration is greater:
- to 0,001% in products without rinsing
- to 0,01% in the products to be rinsed
