Namely Castor oil is a vegetable oil extracted from seeds, it is mainly made up of fatty acids (mostly ricinoleic acid). This oil is used because of its numerous properties in cosmetics: it promotes the uniform distribution of pigments in a cosmetic product, it penetrates the stratum corneum and acts in depth, it moisturizes and protects. In hair care, it has toning properties and protects the hair (film-forming agent). It is also very used in lip care, it makes them soft and gives them shine. In makeup, it is used to promote a good distribution of colors. It is allowed in organic.
