Namely Ethanolamine or also called Monoethanolamine (MEA) is a colorless liquid used mainly in hair coloring "ammonia-free" to replace it. It thus favors the opening of the scales of the cuticle before any permanent coloring. Ethanolamine is nevertheless manufactured from ethylene oxide and ammonia. MEA is a potential irritant / allergen for mucous membranes and skin
