Farnesol is an odorous molecule that is part of the list of 24 allergens regulated by Europe. It is present in many essential oils such as linden or acacia flowers. Its name comes from a variety of this tree: Acacia farnesiana.
Restriction in Europe:
III/82 The presence of the substance shall be indicated in the list of ingredients referred to in Article 19 (1) (g) when its concentration is greater:
- to 0,001% in products without rinsing
- to 0,01% in the products to be rinsed
