Namely Ethylhexyl triazone (EHT) is an organic (chemical) UV filter used in sunscreens. It absorbs UVB rays (280 to 320 nm). Aside from its less-than-virtuous chemical transformation, the ingredient is considered biodegradable (soluble) and poses no known problems once released into the environment.
