Caprylyl Glycol is an alcohol derived from caprylic acid. It is found in the milk of certain mammals, as well as in palm and coconut oils. It is an effective humectant (holds water) and emollient (softens the skin) providing a unique sensation on the skin, it has an antimicrobial effectiveness and improves that of traditional preservatives. For its reasons, it is used in a multitude of cosmetic products.
