Restriction in Europe:
The restrictions and maximum permitted concentrations depend on the use of the ingredient in:
a) Colourant used in oxidative hair dyes: after mixing under oxidative conditions, the maximum content applied to the hair must not exceed 2.0%.
b) Colourant used in non-oxidative hair dyes: 0.2%.
For a) and b):
- do not use with nitrosating agents,
- maximum nitrosamine content: 50 μg/kg,
- store in nitrite-free containers.
