Namely Lactic acid is a fruit acid (AHA). It is used in cosmetics as a PH regulator, helps soften and retain moisture in the skin, and give shine. It promotes the hydration of the skin and the evacuation of dead cells. Lactic acid is produced through a fermentation process using specific bacteria such as Lactobacillus. It is naturally present in milk, wine, some vegetables and fruits. It is authorized in organic.
