PVP or polyvinylpyrrolidone is a water-soluble polymer. It is very versatile in cosmetics and can be used as a binder, film-forming agent, emulsion stabilizer, suspending agent or hair fixative. It is mainly used in products such as mascara, eyeliner, hair products and shampoos. It is prohibited in organic.
