Namely This ingredient is not yet referenced in the European INCI database. It is an emulsifier of plant origin authorized by the European COSMOS specifications. This is a chemically transformed Agro-ingredient within the meaning of these specifications, of which the share of organic raw material used in its design is 100% (CPAI). It is produced by esterification of polyglycerin with stearic acid and sebacic acid, generally from plants such as castor oil (Ricinus communis), palm (Elaeis guineensis) or rapeseed (Brassica campestris).
Its functions (INCI)
  • Binding agent : Allows the cohesion of different cosmetic ingredients
  • Emulsion stabilising : Promotes the emulsification process and improves the stability and shelf life of the emulsion
  • Film forming : Produces a continuous film on skin, hair or nails
  • Viscosity controlling : Increases or decreases the viscosity of cosmetics
  • Non-surfactant dispersant : Facilitate the dispersion of solids in liquids. They function primarily by coating the solid through the process of adsorption, thus changing the surface characteristic of the suspended solid.
  • Skin conditioning - miscellaneous : Improving the appearance of dry and/or damaged skin by reducing flaking and restoring its suppleness.
