Namely Sodium chloride is a sodium salt also known as table salt, commonly used in food for salting food. It is the basic material in the chemical industry to produce soda and chlorine. In cosmetics, it is often used as a thickener in shampoos and shower gels or in oral preparations to clean and eliminate odors.
