Namely Montmorillonite is a green clay composed of aluminum silicate and magnesium hydrate. It takes its name from the village of Montmorillon (Vienne, France), in which it was discovered in 1847: today this deposit is exhausted, it is found in the south of France or in the United States. In cosmetics, this clay is used for its absorbing, healing and mineralizing virtues. Montmorillonite is allowed in organic.
